The mountain on your doorstep
The Golm ski and hiking area is right on your doorstep. You can reach the lift/cable car station in a few minutes on foot. In winter, the Golm awaits you with nine state-of-the-art lifts and 43 km of perfectly groomed ski slopes, 90% of which with snow guarantee. They range from the simple practice run to the comfortable family downhill run and the challenging World Cup course. The natural toboggan run from Latschau to Vandans offers tobogganing fun for the whole family. Every Wednesday and Friday night there is tobogganing until 9 p. m., if snow conditions permit.
Montafon – a combination of tradition and modernity
The holiday home alpavera is located in the heart of the Montafon. There is a lot to discover and experience!
The Montafon is nestled between the Rätikon, Silvretta and Verwall mountain ranges. In the valley you will encounter numerous traditional features. The typical Montafoner house is part bricks, part wood and thus combines the Romantsch and Walser house type. The typical Montafon Table, which you can also find in our apartment Soldanella, is adorned with beautiful inlays made of various native woods around a black slate plate in the middle. While hiking in the mountains you might come across Montafon Braunvieh cattle or Montafoner stone sheep, both old traditional breeds of domestic animals, which were threatened with extinction and are now spreading again.
